Outfit Inspo.
With Christmas on the brain, I’ve decided to bring you a style guide to help you prep for your special holiday photo sessions! There’s something so special about holiday photos, and it can be a bit of a daunting task to find exactly what you love for them. So I’ve done some of the hard work for you.
Don’t be afraid to dress it up!
You can never go wrong with a touch of fancy in your photos.
- Be careful with patterns (though you don’t have to completely avoid them). While I love a little pattern mixing, try to think more texture and less pattern.
- Accessorize, baby! Accessories add extra dimension to your images and can be a nice tie-in when you’re coordinating with a group. Big statement necklaces bring a lot of pop to the photos, and belts, bracelets and earrings bring great visual interest. Choose one or two that don’t compete for attention.
- Don’t go too light on your makeup! I highly recommend going for false lashes. They may feel like “too much,” but beware: you will probably fall in love with them and want to wear them on the daily! I also recommend a good medium-full coverage foundation that blends well with your skin tone. Finally, show your lips some love!! A lipstick or gloss that adds color, as opposed to a lip balm, will keep your lips looking distinct and luscious on camera.
Without further ado… the good stuff:
Plaid, Always a popular choice..But keep in mind:
Not to wear too much plaid.Too many patterns together will clash and take away from highlighting your faces and expressions.
But IF you are having multiple people wear plaid make sure they are the same plaid and not a different color or pattern. !
